Midwest visit receives high marks

Having college options isn't enough for Lee Ziemba, a 6-foot-7, 295-pound offensive tackle form Rogers, Ark.


The southern standout wants to see what all those schools waving scholarships in his face actually have to offer.


That's why Ziemba set out for the Midwest recently to check out both Michigan and Notre Dame, which included a stop at the Blue-Gold Game.


"Michigan was cool; it was bigger than Notre Dame," he said to IrishIllustrated.com. "The offensive line coach, coach (Andy) Moeller, showed us around. It was a good trip."


Ziemba, accompanied by his parents and sister, then traveled to South Bend to visit the Irish as they concluded spring practice with the annual Blue-Gold Game.
