Reuben Foster: A phenom

ATLANTA | It says something that he was out there at all on a rainy, cold, windy and generally miserable late-December day. In truth, there was no place he'd rather have been.

No one would have blamed him if he had chosen not to participate. After all, it was an all-star event with a week of practices designed to help garner exposure for the state of Georgia's top junior high school football players. A five-star ranking already secured, he didn't need any added exposure. Every college in the country already knew who he was. Every recruiting analyst had previously attributed every apt adjective to him. There was nothing for him to prove.

Yet there he was, hobbled left ankle and all, bouncing around the field, goofing on his teammates, flashing a 1000-watt smile that radiates from his core, signaling the defense, and destroying running backs and quarterbacks. He was having the time of his life.

You learn quickly that's just Reuben being Reuben.

Reuben Foster is the top-rated linebacker in the class of 2013. He's one of only 10 juniors to be crowned a five-star recruit, and, if we're being honest, it wasn't a difficult decision for analysts.
