Dual threat quarterback set to visit Army

It seems like only yesterday that the Black Knights of Army were able to pull in Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year … quarterback Paul McIntosh. Actually that was the 2008 recruiting class and McIntosh left the academy without having taken one snap under center.

Well, this recruiting season, the Army staff has its sights on another Gatorade Player of the Year and of course they are hoping for much better results. Out of the blue grass state, Kentucky, dual threat quarterback Antonio Andrews would be an ideal fit for the Black Knights' offense.

But first things first … and that will take place on January 29th, as the athletic quarterback will take his official visit to Army.

Andrews is an incredible athlete, who has lead his Fort Campbell High School team to back to back state championships (Class 2A). This season alone he rushed for an impressive 1,597 yards and passed for 1,667 (56.6 completion percentage), along with 28 touchdowns this season, which brought his two year total to over 100 touchdowns.

Although Andrews has Division I offers from both Army and Air Force, he is quick to point out that he still has his eyes on Kentucky and is hoping for an offer from the Wildcats staff.

The talented athlete, who also made 1st team All-State, plays on the school's basketball and baseball team, where he plays small forward (12 ppg) and baseball (shortstop .483) respectively.

Andrews, who maintains a 3.4 GPA, is an impressive 28-0 as the starting quarterback for Fort Campbell. will continue to follow Antonio Andrews' recruiting process.
