Practice Insider: Havili ready for Bruins
The USC offense just hasn't been right for about the last month or so. Anthony McCoy had to recover from an ankle sprain. Damian Williams had to deal with a hamstring injury before spraining his ankle.
And fullback Stanley Havili had to sit for a few weeks after injuring his shoulder at Notre Dame. While losing McCoy and Williams received a lot of attention, not having Havili might have disrupted things more.
Usually, USC likes to involve its fullback in the passing game and in the running attack, but with Havili out, his replacement, D.J. Shoemate, was used primarily as a blocker.
