Milton Knox, knocks for playing time

Everyone who came out and watched training camp came away impressed by the young UCLA Bruin running backs. With some solid offensive line play the Bruins have the running backs to have an outstanding running game. One of those young backs that thrilled onlookers was redshirt freshman Milton Knox. He recently caught up with BruinBlitz.com to talk about the coming season.

BruinBlitz.com: How do you feel training camp went for you?

Knox: "I think it went well. I know the playbook now. It took me awhile to understand it and get the knack of it, but now I'm able to just play and make plays.

"Last year was kind of new coming in and learning a new system. Being at Birmingham (high school) for four years and knowing the offense like the back of my hand and now I am able get off book because I know the playbook and make plays and my abilities take over."

BruinBlitz.com: The question on the minds of Bruin fans is how is the offensive line doing?

Knox: "The o-line is doing really good. Actually at the end of spring I took them out to my grandmother's restaurant and took them out to eat so I know how to get the o-line on the good side…"
