UVa football notebook; Hall has team's respect

The start of the college football season is just days away, and one player that Virginia fans are looking forward to seeing in action in 2007 is Vic Hall.

The diminutive sophomore shattered nearly every offensive record in the state of Virginia as a high school quarterback.

But now Hall is a starting cornerback for the Cavaliers, as well as serving as an important special teams performer, and UVa's coaches know they're lucky to have him.

Position aside, Hall has been a fan favorite ever since he announced his intention to play his college football in Charlottesville.

Now it's time for Hall to show what he can do in a significant role, and his coaches expect him to shine.
