Top 2009 prospect has two early leaders

Despite being ineligible to play varsity football this past season because of school transfer rules, 2009 Houston Chavez prospect Michael Brockers has managed to find himself on the radar of several colleges already.

With 2007 Texas A&M signee Harold Turnage being the first player in Chavez history to sign a Division I letter-of-intent, Dr. Mike Jackson's program has now seemingly become a hotbed for recruiters.

Two Lobos in the class of 2008 have already made early commitments to Big 12 schools, linebacker Jarvis Smith to Baylor and receiver Jamaal Johnson to Kansas, but it seems that the 6-foot-6, 255 pound Brockers is gaining most of the attention.
