'Burn, Baby, 'Burn

When your college football team has been selected to be one of the top five in the country by most pre-season polls, when football season rolls around, you tend to not have a lot of time to do much of anything else but think about football. That includes living and breathing - unless it's living and breathing football. Such is the case at tradition-rich Auburn - WSU's first opponent this year. The schools will meet for the first time ever on the football field but Auburn is fully expected to brandish the same old offensive rushing tradition that has worked for them for years and years. At least that's what Bryan Matthews expects to see in the first quarter with star running back Kenny Irons.
