Utah safety looking Northwest

When Davis High safety Chaz Walker walks away from laying out a wide receiver, he leaves an opponent's ears ringing. These days, it's the phone that's ringing at the class of 2007's high school, as recruiters from across the country inquire about Walker's on-field and academic prowess.

"I've talked to recruiters from Utah, Utah State, Princeton, Brigham Young, Oregon, they've all come to the school and gotten transcripts and talked to the head coach and defensive coordinator," said Walker. In addition to personally fielding phone calls from the defensive coordinators from Penn, Princeton Utah and Utah State, the six-foot safety says he's received a handful of camp-related letters from Huskyville.

But is he interested?

"Definitely. I'm wanting to visit there and I'm trying to set up a visit with them (Washington)." They've sent letters talking about their camps, but they've been during the same time as my high school camps, so I haven't been able to get there yet."
