I returned to school at age 28 to finish my degree and become a sports writer. I double majored in English and journalism, although UNC did not award double degrees then. So mine is a B.A. in journalism. I've been married for 23 years, living with my wife for 25. We have two kids, Madison, 19, who is a sophomore at UNCG and Jordan, 16, a junior at Northwood High School. I love to write almost as much as I love anything. My family has always come first and always will. I grew up in a house in which sports were not that big. My mom thought I was nuts for yelling at the television during ball games.
