Today is an exciting day for the Rivals.com team! We have signed an agreement to become part of the Yahoo! family.
In 2001, publishers, employees of Rivals.com and I set out to create a site that appealed to the passion of fans who love college and high school sports. Along the way, we felt like we pioneered sports coverage in three previously underserved categories: exclusive and in-depth coverage of your favorite college sports team (nobody is better than our publishers); national football and basketball "recruiting" coverage (we're the best there is!); and, the best collection of high school sports news and community sites on a state-by-state basis.
For all of that hard work, today, we are the No. 1 online destination for college and high school sports fans, attracting more than two million readers each month.
Our goal is to grow and to provide an even better experience for you in the future.
Partnering with Yahoo! will help us build the next generation of Rivals' products and services for hardcore and casual sports fans, and allow us to reach an entirely new fan base (after all, Yahoo! is the most-visited site on the Internet).
For all of our current readers and community members, we believe this agreement means that you can expect an even better experience in the future. We will have the best engineering team in the business and it will allow us to create more and more products and services that true sports fans want. To all our Rivals readers, thank you for your support. To all our future Rivals readers, I want to say welcome. We look forward to the future.
