Bruins get speedy
For the second straight 7-on-7 drill there was a person who is well schooled with the UCLA football program and knows talent in the Los Angeles area show up to the Westwood campus. He wanted to see for himself what he has been reading on BruinBlitz.com regarding the summer workouts. For the second voluntary practice in a row, the Bruins made a believer.
One thing that is very apparent is the team speed. Earlier in the day the Bruins were tested in the 40 and the times were smoking.
The top three times that BruinBlitz.com was able to track down came from players who were playing high school football in 2008.
True freshman Damien Thigpen ran a sizzling 4.28 and his fellow classman, Randall Carroll ran a 4.32. Right behind Thigpen and Carroll was another true freshman, Sheldon Price, who ran a 4.35.
