Auburn hit hard by injuries
It started when leading receiver Robert Dunn didn't make the trip to Vanderbilt after turning his ankle in practice last week.
Before the first half was over, two of Auburn's top defensive players would be out of the game and a host of youngsters would be forced into action.
"We were running out of people," AU head coach Tommy Tuberville said. "We lost a couple of guys on defense in the first half that hurt us."
Tuberville said Dunn should be back next week but the prognosis for both defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks, who injured his ankle, and cornerback Jerraud Powers, who pulled his hamstring, was not as positive.
