Breaking down the receivers
What was traditionally a strength in the Ute offense, the receiver position has not been the game-changing component that Andy Ludwig would like out of his pass-catchers lately. Utah's big playmaker, Brent Casteel, went down early in the 2007 season and with that the entire dynamic of the offense changed. Recognizing this sudden weakness, Kyle Whittingham brought in an unprecedented amount of receivers in the class of '08 in an attempt to return the position to a strength of the offense.
