Insider: Booty's redemption
On Saturday, senior quarterback John David Booty will start his last game at the Coliseum against the Bruins. His tipped-pass turned interception in the Rose Bowl last December sealed the upset win for UCLA and kept the Trojans out of the BCS Championship Game. Booty is now healthy, more mature, playing great football and appears ready for redemption against his rival.
"The whole experience was disappointing," Booty said regarding the loss last season. "We always want to be a great finishing football team and that is definitely not the way we want to go out. That cost us a potential national championship game."
The Bruins has been hit hard by the injury buy and have five losses already. But they have beat both teams that defeated the Trojans and of course still have a shot at getting to the Rose Bowl.
"It is going to be a battle," Booty said. "They are going to bring their 'A' game, we are going to bring ours and it is just going to be a battle to the end. "
