Dynamic duo debuts in style
For three straight years, Syracuse has brought in freshmen with loads of talent and high expectations.
In 2004 it was a local phenom Josh Wright at point guard. In 2005 it was electric shooting guard Eric Devendorf and last season it was an amazing athlete in Paul Harris.
But for three straight seasons the Orange have failed to win an NCAA tournament game and last season they hit rock bottom, failing to even solicit an invitation to the Big Dance.
But this year's recruiting class is unlike anything Syracuse fans have seen since the likes of Carmelo Anthony and Gerry McNamara.
Rated as the second best recruiting class in the country, the Orange's crop of freshmen is a dynamic bunch.
Still, Head Coach Jim Boeheim was hesitant to expect too much from the rookies before the season started.
