Once Gopher-bound, Jones excels at MSU
EAST LANSING - Through eight games this season it's obvious that true freshman SAM linebacker Greg Jones is going to be a star for the Michigan State Spartans.
In a loss to top-ranked Ohio State this past weekend, Jones was a bright spot, compiling a season-best 14 tackles - which is also a single-game high for any player on the roster - along with a sack for a loss of 6 yards. On the season, Jones is second on the team in tackles (49), with seven tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

Good ball skills, explosive."
But Jones' impact on the MSU roster may of never happened if it weren't for two things: Minnesota losing head coach Glenn Mason and his staff after last season and meeting Dantonio.
