Rick Kimbrel
BruinSportsReport.com One of the best gets that Coach Ben Howland was able land last season was getting his talented point guard Darren Collison to return for at least one more season. With the return of Collison, Howland gets the player who runs the floor for him.
Collison proved to be a clutch shooter and a solid defender. With his return the Bruins look good for a very special season.
BruinBlitz.com was there with other members of the media when Collison met the media.
Did NBA sources tell you what you needed to work on in your game?
Collison: "I really couldn't tell you. That really wasn't my biggest focus. Coming into this season it was really all about UCLA so whatever Coach Howland wants me to work on that's what I was focused on
What did Coach Howland tell you to work on?
Collison: "He just wants me to get my dribble lower and not turnover the ball. The same thing he wants for every point guard.
"I'm an extension of him and whatever coach wants is something that I'm going to give him.
Do you think that you will run more with Kevin Love with his rebounding and his outlet passing?
Collison: "I think Coach Howland is always going to be a running team and I think that is an advantage to us because we have so many talented guards like Michael Roll, Russell Westbrook and Luc (Mbah a Moute) at times. If we can continue to stick with the offense we will be a dominant team again.
