Numbers, while they can be misleading, rarely lie.
Consider, then, the following comparative digits for the Pitt offense and freshman running back LeSean McCoy:
McCoy's rushing total: 417 yards
The rest of the team's rushing total: 111 yards
McCoy's average yards per touch (rush, receive, and pass): 6.17
The rest of the team's average yards per touch: 4.53
McCoy's total touchdowns: 5
The rest of the team's total touchdowns: 5
McCoy's total turnovers: 1
The rest of the team's total turnovers: 11
With all of that in mind, it's not hard to guess which player on Pitt's offense has had the biggest positive impact so far this season. And it's also not hard to extrapolate which player should be the offense's priority heading into the Panthers' game at Virginia this Saturday, let alone the remaining 7 games that follow it.
