Statistics: Eight tackles, five solos.
Observations: Johnson forced a third down on Arkansas second play from scrimmage with an ankle tackle of Darren McFadden on a screen pass. ... ESPN's Todd Blackledge said Johnson bit on a play-action fake on Casey Dick's deep touchdown pass to Crosby Tuck, but on a 3rd-and-1 play, Johnson was lined up too far away to help Lionel Mitchell, anyway. ... With 6:30 left in the third quarter, Johnson showed excellent lateral pursuit in knocking McFadden out of bounds on a short gain after he had turned the corner on Carter with a stiff-arm. On the next play, Johnson knifed into the backfield and tripped up McFadden on 3rd-and-5 to force a punt. ... Johnson may have made a stop on McFadden's quarterback draw play for the tying touchdown in the fourth quarter had he not had a violent collision with an official. ... The lowlight for Johnson was a missed a tackle on Felix Jones on a 29-yard run to the Alabama 12 with 9:31 remaining.
