Seniors ready to lead
As everyone knows, the expectations for the 2007 LSU football team are sky high.
The Tigers are ranked No. 2 in the country behind Southern California. LSU is predicted to win the Southeastern Conference championship and advance to the BCS title game in early January at the Superdome.
So, how are the players keeping their feet on the ground and not getting caught up in all the preseason hype?
The seniors on this year's Tigers team are making sure that the proper attitude is surfacing.
"We joke around a little bit about the high ranking," quarterback Matt Flynn said. "It's really a compliment to us. But, we haven't taken a snap yet. We don't put stock into what people are saying about us. I know it's a cliché, but we have to take it one day at a time."
