Ziemba alone at the top at right tackle
Hugh Nall isn't afraid to play a true freshman; he'd just rather not. But if Lee Ziemba continues on his current path, he may not leave Auburn's o-line coach much of a choice.
Ziemba entered Friday night's scrimmage tied at the top of the right tackle depth chart with junior Antwoin Daniels. Saturday morning, Ziemba was all alone.
"If we had to play tomorrow, that's how it would be
with Ziemba (the starting right tackle)," said Nall.
Ziemba wouldn't be the first true freshman to start under Nall. Since the coach arrived at Auburn in 1999, he's started three others, Danny Lindsey, Troy Reddick and Marcus McNeill.
For Ziemba, the idea of starting his first collegiate game is surreal.
"That's a dream come true to think that I might be in the starting lineup," said Ziemba, the top recruit out of Arkansas in 2007.
