QB Breakdown: Inside the decision process
Talk about guarded information. The Oklahoma quarterback derby is seven practices into fall camp and judging by the comments coming from coaches and players, you'd think the Sooners have merged all three players into a single signal caller.
Every comment coming from inside the Switzer Center continually talks about all three QB candidates as a group.
If separation is starting to happen, no one is willing to step up and provide any comments about whether Joey Halzle, Sam Bradford or Keith Nichol has the edge.
"They look good. They all are making really good progress and doing a great job so far," said Bob Stoops on Monday.
When asked for comment on the development of the QBs on Wednesday, Stoops had a very similar answer.
"They're doing well," he said. "They're progressing well and learning all the time."
What we were able to uncover is that through seven practices the neither punky nor funky QBs are still splitting repetitions evenly in practices.
