After dazzling fans during preseason and exhibition games before the 2006-2007 season started, Nic Wise did not have the ideal season that he hoped for. Wise found himself deep on the bench and not in the rotation.

The buzz around Tucson is which Wildcat will be starting at the point guard position. Wise revealed to GOAZCATS.com what he felt about the race for the starting position as well as what he is working on over the summer.

GOAZCATS.com: How do you see the battle for the starting point guard position?

Nic Wise: It is definitely going to be a good fight. I know that the coaches are thinking about putting (Jerryd Bayless and me) together on the court which could be dangerous. Bayless is a very talented player who can pretty much score at will. I am very confident in my game and I know that if I continue to work hard then it will show on the court as well.
