Pullman Practice Report - Day Four
In their fourth practice of the spring, the WSU football team saw Michael Bumpus return to action after being shaken up by a Xavier Hicks hit last practice.
Bumpus and Charles Dillon started off the practice fielding punts again, further proving that they are in line to hold the position in the upcoming season.
But it was the Bumpus-led receiving corps that really struggled in Monday's practice. Maybe it was due to lack of reps this spring or the cold weather, but the Cougars' wide receivers struggled with catching the ball.
In the 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills, dropped passes were common. On three consecutive plays, Brandon Gibson, Finas Rabb III and Keith Rosenberg all dropped passes.
That was about the only mishap of Gibson's day though. The junior-to-be wide receiver, who led the Cougars in receiving yardage last season, looked sharp, hauling in ball after ball.
