Tide wins thriller over MSU
It may go down as a thriller but there was nothing shocking to Tide fans about Ronald Steele's game-winning layup that sealed an 80-79 victory for the Tide over Mississippi State on Wednesday night.
Steele's shot was the junior's second game-winner of the season and pushed the Tide to 18-5 overall, 5-4 in Southeastern Conference play.
"I knew I was going to try and get a shot up and if I didn't make it we were going to tip it back in," said Steele, who finished with 10 points and 7 assists. "I had confidence that either I will make a play or somebody else on the court would make a play if I didn't."
