OU defense isn't proven yet
While the young talent in the OU defense has all the potential in the world, potential does not win ballgames.
The OU coaching staff will find out quickly how the young players will react to game time butterflies, as many young players are expected to see action on Sept. 2 versus Alabama-Birmingham.
"Me personally, I feel like the team will be fine, but I'll probably have butterflies because it's my first college game and it's going to be a huge crowd," redshirt freshman Keenan Clayton said. "But they'll probably go away."
For OU's sake, the butterflies must go away. Clayton figures to be the starter at the strong safety position.
