Questions to answer
For the second time in two season Baylor is looking to replace their two starting linebackers.
Last season Colin Allred and Jamaal Harper stepped in for Justin Crooks and Michael Tolbert, and in 2006 Nick Moore and Antonio Jones are the latest projected to step up.
Moore is the most experienced returning linebacker returning and Antonio Jones was a standout last fall on the defensive scout team while redshirting as a true freshman.
Depth is better, but the Bears lost signees Paul Tolbert and Greg Carlson, who were expected to add depth to the roster this fall. The Bears did add Chad Lowe, who originally signed with Kansas St. out of Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey in 2005, and do have talented young depth in Ben Hixson and Joseph Pawelek.
Nick Moore - #44 - 6-1, 230 - Jr.
Moore originally signed with Georgia Tech out of Arlington High but after a year in Atlanta decided to transfer to Baylor to be closer to home.
After sitting out the 2004 season due to transfer rules, Moore appeared in all 11 games in 2005 recording 23 tackles, and a forced fumble. While he didn't start any games he did log several minutes in back up duty.
He enters the fall as the No. 1 Mike Linebacker on the depth chart following a strong performance in the spring.
He is the most experienced returning backer on Baylor's roster.
