BeaverBlitz.com In 2005, many believed the youthful Golden Bears could contend for a top three spot in the Pac-10. However, injuries and youth proved to be tough obstacles to overcome as Cal finished the season with a respectable 8-4 finish and capped the season with a win over Brigham Young in the Las Vegas Bowl. This year, expectations run high as the injuries that plagued them last year have healed and the youthful team from 2005 is developing into a group of seasoned veterans.
