Patterson continues to shine on national stage
There might not be a player in the class of 2007 whose stock is rising any faster than that of Patrick Patterson. The 6-foot-8, 225-pound power forward from Huntington, W.Va., was a dominant force at last week's Nike Camp and for his efforts in Indianapolis earned similar praise to what he has garnered all spring and summer. CavsCorner checked in with Patterson to get the latest on his recruitment, where rumors have been running wild.
Reports from the Nike Camp had Patterson claiming that Wake Forest and Kentucky had emerged as his top two schools.
But when asked if that was the case on Monday evening, Patterson quickly responded, "That's not true."
Patterson did admit, as he has in the past, that the Demon Deacons and the Wildcats are in line for official visits this fall, with Florida also falling under that category. But as far as frontrunners for his services, he says there are none at this point.
