KANSAS CITY--Yes, Brian Smith's dad played at Notre Dame. Yes, Smith camped with the Irish and would love to get an offer. But the Kansas linebacker also wants to clear a few things up about his recruiting.

Smith was on hand at the Missouri one-day camp in Kansas City on Sunday and said the Tigers were one of those teams he'd like to investigate a little further. He said his recruiting is not a one-horse race as has often been assumed.

Mizzou is hardly the last stop for Smith this summer. In fact, it's toward to the top of a long list. He will visit Nebraska, Iowa and Michigan. And that is just the next seven days.
