What does Locker's decision do for Husky football?
Ferndale quarterback Jake Locker signed with Washington in February after committing to the Huskies last summer.
He has now made what he said is his final decision by deciding to play football for the Huskies.
For fans of Cleveland Indians' outfielder Grady Sizemore and Inland Empire 66ers' shortstop Matt Tuiasosopo, this is crushing news. But for Husky fans, this is good news.
Locker has maintained all along that football was his first love. However, in typical Jake Locker fashion, he carefully weighed his options and made an intelligent and informed decision.
And had the Huskies not been spurned by prior signees Sizemore and Tuiasosopo, this story may not have gathered much more attention than the 61 shot by a high school golfer from Clarkston High School on Monday.
