Midseason Grades: Offense
West Virginia enters the bye week at the midseason point of the 2011 campaign with a 5-1, 1-0 mark and here's WVSports.com's look at how each of the offensive units have graded through the first six contests of the season.
Quarterback: A: Geno Smith has thrown for over 2,000 yards at the mid-way point with 16 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions. And while the stats are impressive, it's the way Smith has adapted to the system and developed into even more of a team leader that reigns the most telling. Smith has shown great command of the offense leading the Mountaineers to an average of 40 points per game, and has taken care of the football, but moving into the second half there is only room for improvement.
