Goode anchors defense

WVSports.com Najee Goode has been called the "ace-in-the-hole," by the West Virginia coaching staff due to his ability to effectively play all three linebacker positions in the Mountaineers 3-3-5 stack defense. And with new faces across the board at linebacker, it's that versatility that will be key for the development and success of the unit.
Last season Goode, 6-foot-1, 241-pounds, lined up at strongside linebacker and had 47 tackles, 3 sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss, but with the graduation of J.T. Thomas, Anthony Leonard and Pat Lazear, Goode slid to the middle during the spring.
