Video: Stephen Schilling excited to lead talented line
Last year, Stephen Schilling was named as the co-recipient of the Hugh R. Rader, Jr. Award, earning the distinction as Michigan's finest lineman in 2009, alongside of Mark Ortmann. Schilling said that this year's offensive line should be even better and he will be the group's senior leading the way.
Up to this point in his career, the 6-5, 305-pounder has started 36 of 37 games played; earning the starting nod 22 times at right tackle, 12 times at left guard and twice at right guard. The versatile big man was one of three Wolverines selected to attend the 2010 Big Ten Football Kickoff, alongside of head coach Rich Rodriguez. The Wolverine caught up with Schilling in Chicago, Ill. and he spoke about Rodriguez, as well as the youngsters among the line that led him to proclaim that the 2010 line will enjoy better depth than last season.
