Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei quarterback Max Wittek moved all the way from Connecticut to California two years ago to play against better competition and to give himself a chance to get noticed by college coaches.

It has had the desired effect. Besides the Tarheels, Trojans, Fighting Irish and Golden Bears, Wittek also has offers from Florida, Florida State, UCLA, Nebraska, Arizona, Clemson, Duke, Illinois, Oregon State and South Carolina.
